Your Itinerary

Day 1 – Your Journey Begins in York

York England

Make your way to York from London or local station. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, then venture out to enjoy the city. Walk the historic Roman walls to get your bearings of this magnificent city and in the evening head down to Fossgate for a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Stroll along the banks of River Ouse to see a the city from a different view. (Overnight York)

Day 2 – York

After breakfast at your hotel collect your York Pass from the central Tourist Office, then set off to see the sights. York has numerous museums and interesting attractions to keep you busy and not to be missed is the famous JORVIK Centre. This popular attraction allows you to see what York looked like in Viking times. Next on your list should be The York Chocolate Story to indulge in some sweet treats. (Overnight York) B

Day 3 – York

Make the most of your last day in York with a scenic river cruise along the River Ouse or visit the historic York Minster. The National Railway Museum located by the railway station is a popular attraction and certainly worth a visit. B

Day 4 – Chester

After breakfast make your way to the station for the train to Chester. After checking in at your hotel, head out into the city to see the wonderful architecture. Your hop-on, hop-off bus tickets is included with your package. Spend the afternoon walking the city walls which are some of the most complete in the country. The walk provides a great vantage point pf the famous Eastgate Clock, King Charles’ Tower, the Water Tower as well as the River Dee and Shropshire Union Canal.

Day 5 – Chester

Spend the final day of your holiday visiting the historic Roman Amphitheatre and Chester Cathedral. Be sure to experience the city’s famous café culture, browse the shops in the fashion district or perhaps visit Chester Zoo, the most visited UK attraction outside of London.

Day 6 – Chester

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel and one last look around this interesting city before making your way to the station for your journey home. Perhaps combine this tour with another short break to Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham. Ask us for details.
