DAY 1 – DUBLIN
After arriving into Dublin, make your own way to your hotel. Once checked in, it is time to see what Dublin has to offer. Perhaps see the Book of Kells at Trinity college or visit one of Dublin’s free museums? The National Museum Dublin is just one of the city’s must-visit museums, housed within a lovely Palladian building from 1890. The National Gallery of Ireland includes wonderful European and Irish fine art, with an acclaimed collection of works by Irish painter Jack B. Yeats. Soak up the past and see Irish designs through the ages at the National Museum of Decorative Arts and History in Collins Barracks. You could also head to the Hugh Lane Gallery to see the world-renowned Francis Bacon Studio. Included is a skip-the-line ticket to the Guinness. It’s Ireland’s number one visitor attraction – a gleaming multimedia exhibition on everything from retro advertising to the craft of brewing, topped off with a pint in the 360-degree Gravity Bar. DAY 2 – DUBLIN
This morning is your secret food tour! Dublin is famous for its warm pubs, celebrated music scene, and the all-important ‘craic,’ which creates its unique atmosphere. There is something of a food revolution that has been happening in this town and in the country, and Dubliners are keen to show you around for a delicious taste! You will be shown where the locals eat, drink, and relax. Our team of Irish guides will take you to surprising pubs, food shops, and markets, along with a hidden Church, all places beloved by the area’s locals, and before long, you will feel like a local too! DAY 3 – DUBLIN TO CORK
Take a scenic train journey to Cork. This city is jam-packed with buzzing pubs, fantastic galleries, thought-provoking museums, and arguably the best restaurant scene in Ireland. This afternoon enjoy a true taste of Irish history. On your Jameson Experience tour of the old Midleton distillery, you’ll learn about the distillation process, visit a restored 19th-century warehouse where Jameson is aged in oak casks, and even have an opportunity to sample some of the finished product. Discover the processes involved in creating Jameson’s beloved spirit by sipping on a glass of Jameson whiskey or a Jameson-based cocktail in the bar. (Overnight in Cork) B
DAY 4 – CORK
Your visit to Cork would not be complete without a stop at two of Cork’s most important towns—Cobh and Blarney, with all transportation provided. Just sit back and enjoy the ride and the scenery. Admission to the castle and gardens at Blarney are included. In Cobh, learn about the history of Irish immigration from your guide’s commentary and choose the attractions you’d like to visit independently. (Overnight in Cork) B
DAY 5 – CORK TO KILLARNEY
After breakfast, take your train to Killarney, a vibrant town with an incredibly beautiful countryside. Full of history, heritage, activities, and world-class hospitality, your day of leisurely exploring will be anything you want it to be. (Overnight in Killarney) B
DAY 6 – KILLARNEY
Today get a fuller experience of Killarney than would be possible with a single form of transportation on this combination tour by boat and jaunting car. Sail across Lough Lein in a glass-covered boat then hop aboard a jaunting car to travel through Killarney National Park rug ion lap and learning the history with your guide. DAY 7 – KILLARNEY TO GALWAY
Next stop is Galway, where the past lingers in the air. Traces of old Galway, including the city walls and the distinctive Spanish Arch, give the city an ancient atmosphere. Renowned as an important seaport, you’ll find plenty of delicious seafood on the menus. Galway feels like the ultimate modern bohemian metropolis, but beneath the surface beats a heart that is deeply traditional. Heavy-knit Aran jumpers crowd the souvenir shops; Claddagh rings twinkle in the windows jewelry shops; traditional music sets pubs alight in the evenings; and the county is home to the largest Irish-speaking population on the island. After your train journey, check into your hotel and enjoy your free afternoon. In the evening, take your food and drink walking tour. DAY 7 – GALWAY
Have an early breakfast today, as your full day tour departs at 9 a.m. to the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher. Your cruise will take you to beautiful areas of Ireland that can only be reached by boat. A guide will tell you about the history of the villages you encounter and point out highlights, such Ireland’s most beautiful beaches. This tour gives you the freedom to explore independently, hire a bike, or grab some lunch. One of the main highlights is the views from the top of the Cliffs of Moher. Don’t forget your camera! DAY 8 – YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN DUBLIN
